30-day evaluation period, if you continue to play the game, you are required to register and pay for it. The
registration fee is $5.99 (U.S.) for version 1.1, $9.99 for version 2.0. Benefits of registering the software
include:
- Allows you to do boardings when ships collide, which is almost an entire game in itself
- Allows 2 most difficult computer skill levels: Bos'ns Mate and Scurvy Dog
- On version 2.0, you can only save and resume your game with the registered version
